Returning to Sonoma County for two nights, Thursday and Friday, February 10-11, Brian Wetzel's one-man show Side By Side: A Journey With Depression, directed by Lizann Bassham. Side By Side is a funny look at serious survival. Brian is an experienced comedian who also has twenty years of experience with clinical depression. Bringing his sense of humor and experiences together, Brian takes his audience on a unique journey of laughter, painful truth, and finally, hope. By walking side by side with the affliction, he finds a way to keep surviving, keep learning, and keep living.
Brian's show candidly transports you to the intimate recesses of his mind amid his turbulent struggles with clinical depression. He will bring you laughter, grief, compassion and hope while touching the depths of your very soul. It is a must see for all mental health providers and anyone whose life has been touched by a serious brain disorder. “After seeing Brian's show you will never think of mental illness in the same way again." Due to strong language and mature themes, this show is not appropriate for children or young teens.
