Update
2004 ended with mixed financial news for our church. We finished the year with an operating deficit of $13,591, the first operating deficit we have had in a number of years. While we finished the year $9500 under budget on the expense side of the ledger, unfortunately our income side was also well under budget. For example, our pledge income fell $14,898 short. This year-end deficit will have to be factored into our 2005 budget.
There is better news to report concerning 2005 pledges. As of January 20, we had received 150 operating pledges totaling $255,087. Last year as of that date we had received $252,157 in operating pledges. So it would appear that we are off to a good start financially in 2005.
