Uncommon Grace

An Evening with Bishop Gene Robinson

Monday, January 24, 2005  ©  6:30 – 8:30 pm

The Nob Hill Masonic Center

1111 California Street in San Francisco

The Rt. Rev. V. Gene Robinson, Episcopal Bishop of the Diocese of New Hampshire, is the first openly gay and partnered priest in the Episcopal Church to be elected and consecrated as bishop.  The controversy over his election prompted warnings of schism throughout the worldwide Anglican Communion.

On Monday evening, January 24, 2005, CLGS will welcome Bishop Robinson to what will be his first visit to the San Francisco Bay Area since becoming Bishop of New Hampshire and will honor him with a festive reception at the Nob Hill Masonic Center in San Francisco.  This will be a unique opportunity to spend some time with the Bishop and hear about his "uncommon grace" in the midst of turmoil and how such grace offers a model for dealing with deeply divided communities and institutions.  The proceeds raised from this event will support the many programs and activities of the Center, both in the Bay Area and around the country.

This event will sell out, so make your reservation today by calling 510-849-8206 or on line at www.clgs.org.
