Mission & Outreach
The Committee for Mission & Outreach will meet on January 17 at 7 pm in the Fireside Room.
Thanks go to all of you who participated in the Mitten & Hat Tree for the Family Support Center and the Shoebox Ministry for the Homeless Service Center. We delivered 349 items from our tree – a variety of socks, gloves, scarves, slippers, hats and blankets. And 84 shoeboxes were delivered for those who find themselves without a place to call home this winter through the Homeless Service Center in Santa Rosa. Thank you for your continued support in our efforts to help those most in need.
Spanish Class will meet on January 10 & 24 in the Fireside Room from 7-8 pm. Mission & Outreach has arranged the class to aid those planning to travel to South America on the 2006 Seeds of Learning Mission Trip and anyone interested in Spanish lessons (whether planning to go on the mission trip or not) may attend the Spanish class.
Each
Sunday in January, the Mission & Outreach Committee will be hosting the Coffee
Hour after church and serving a special blend of Taylor Maid Coffee. We hope
that you will try this organic, fair trade coffee and enjoy it so much that you
will want to purchase some coffee beans to take home with you! Mission &
Outreach will have the coffee available for you throughout the year as a
fundraiser for the 2006 Mission Trip with Seeds of Learning. Regular and
de-cafe coffee will be available for $8 a can.
Please make a point of stopping by for coffee after church and find out how you can help support Mission & Outreach with your purchase of these fine coffee beans.
Recycle Empty Ink Jet Cartridges
Leave your empty inkjet cartridges in the cardboard box in the church office and Mission & Outreach will be able to turn them into cash to help fund the 2006 Seeds of Learning Mission Trip. Please bring the cartridges in a sealed plastic baggie and Mission & Outreach will take care of the rest.
Help raise funds for the multi-generational Mission Trip and help keep the environment clean by dropping off your empty inkjet cartridges! What could be easier! So far over $100 has been generated from your empty cartridges. For a list of accepted empty cartridges, please see the list in the church office or call Karin in the office at 823-2484.
