Spring Speaker Series
April 5, 12 & 19, 2005
Our Speaker Series continues in 2005 with a three–part presentation on Humor in the Bible by Doug Adams, Professor of Christianity and the Arts at Pacific School of Religion. Dr. Adams has published a number of books and has received rave reviews for his entertaining and informative series on Humor in the Bible.
His most recent books include Eyes to See Wholeness: Visual Arts Informing Biblical and Theological Studies in Education and Worship through the Church Year and Transcendence with the Human Body in Art. He is ordained an ordained minister with the United Church of Christ.
We will meet in the sanctuary at the Community Church on the evenings of April 5, 12 and 19. Details as to the cost and times will be forthcoming. Please make a note of these dates on your calendar and plan to attend this enlightening series as we share some humorous insights to the Bible.
