Update
For the month of May, our operating expenses were $1500 higher than our income, meaning that we finished the month with a year-to -date deficit in our operating fund of $6003. While we never like to see a deficit, it is certainly better than the $13,600 deficit with which we began the year. Pledge income for the month remained strong. For the year we are still $5400 ahead of our pledge income projections. Income from the plate is slightly behind our projections, but had also been strong for the first five months of the year.
The good news is that since our annual meeting, we have picked up $6600 in additional operating pledges. Our year-to-date operating expenses are running about $2000 over projections, but much of that can be attributed to the payment of our Conference dues in the month of May. Income certainly has been encouraging for the first five months of the year, but as you know, the summer can often be a challenging time financially. So thank you for your faithfulness and please do not forget the church during your summer time away.
