Thank
you to Jane Huneke for doing a fantastic job teaching the upper elementary
Sunday School class for the past 10 months. Thanks also to our preschool class
teachers: Michelle and Antonio Trevino, Lorinda Bradley and Fran Rasmus. Thank
you to Vicki Mayster who assisted with the younger elementary class and Ralph
Pendleton for providing refrigerator boxes to create the set for our Christmas
performance. Thanks to Kathy Bell and Dorothy McKoin for helping backstage with
costumes and details as needed and thanks to Carter and Dawson Bell for painting
the scene for our set. Thanks to Irma Bachelor, who worked as a substitute
teacher for Sunday school on many occasions and to Meg and Scott Gifford who
also helped whenever needed. Laura Jame helped in the preschool class and Andy
Del Monte assisted in the preschool and elementary age classes. Thanks
especially to Diana Iverson! Diana arrives early each Sunday to unlock the
doors, turn on the heat, she helps with clean up, and then after service, Diana
makes sure the lights and heat are off everything is locked up tight! And thank
you to Naida Johnson for her continued years of service with the Sunday morning
children’s ministry and our coordinator, Marianne Post. The dedication of each
of our volunteers is what makes our Sunday School such a special place for our
children.
Thank you to Tom Dilley and Guy Smith for tractor and backhoe work in our landscaping project – wow! are things shaping up out there! Thanks also to all our volunteer helpers.
Thank you to Gail Thomas for the beautiful bouquets we presented on June 5 and 12 and for donating so much of her time to the landscape project. And thank you to Dan Rasmus for his role as project manager. Thanks to Lisa Dawson for managing the brick orders and to Denelle and Karin in the office for keeping track of all the requests.
Thanks especially to each of you for your support with the landscape project – together we purchased 279 engraved bricks and raised over $40,000 for the project!
