Thank
you to all the volunteers who turned out at the end of January to help with our
homeless event in Memorial Hall. It is very gratifying to know that we have so
many people who care. Even though our help vastly outnumbered our guests for
the day, we appreciate your concern and efforts to help. Thanks to all the
ladies of Women’s Fellowship who made salads, to Terry Beck, Glenda Elvy and
John Simmons who attended county-wide meetings and came back to train the rest
of us, thanks to Ernie Erler and Nancy Wilkins for collecting, organizing and
distributing the blankets, clothing and other items out of Room 4, also to Mel
Davis for his help, Elyse Mengle, Dorothy McKoin, Esther Radtke, Margaret
Bawden, Priscilla Best, Ellen Stillman, Ralph & Pat Pendleton, Lud Elvy, Donna
Crosley, Sara Wilson, Rowena Kennedy, Barbara Deedler, Corrine Kauwe, Norma
Taddeucci, Karin Seder, Kathy Mayhew, Tony Given, Nancy Dougherty, Paula
Matzinger, Bruce Petersilge, Evelyn Bishop, Helen Sokolis, Marilyn McHugh, Pru
Manley, Margaret Murakami, Diana Iverson and Sara Gerboth and the many folks who
brought items for distribution. Thanks also to Roger Collins who prepared and
served the food.
Thank you to Tom Larssen and Tom
Dilley for their continued efforts with property upkeep. Thank you to Darryl
Fenley who has helped to cover the organ during Joyce’s absence. Thanks also to
everyone who helped collate and staple the Annual Report and to the youth for
providing a wonderful lunch at our annual meeting. Thanks to the Brass Choir
for their wonderful music before the annual meeting and to all attended!
Thanks to all who attended the All-Church Retreat at
Enchanted Hills in February – we had some very productive discussions and
enjoyed visiting with our old friends Cynthia and John Diggs and working with
our facilitator Gayle Madison.
