6 pm Potluck &

7 pm Presentation in Epworthian Hall

Learn about Advance Directives – how they are useful, how they can be changed.  Who do you speak with about what?  Doctor, Lawyer, Family?

Did you know that more young people suffer life threatening illness and injury without their families knowing their children’s wishes?

We have seen the recent tragedy of family conflict during end of life decisions because the patient was injured as a young adult and did not have an advance directive.

What factors do you need to take into account in making your wishes known for a potentially difficult time?

=          Your age

=          Illness prognosis, severity

=          Length of illness

=          Financial/insurance realities

=          Family’s culture, belief system

These and many more factors need to be considered before clear, thorough decisions can be decided.

All are welcome to partake in a light potluck supper at 6 pm and then our speaker will discuss these important issues at 7pm.  Please bring your own table service.
