a Friend Sunday
Sunday, May 15th, is Pentecost Sunday, the day when the disciples received the Holy Spirit and formed the church. It is the birthday of the church, a day to wear red and celebrate! In the life of our church this will also be the day when the Confirmation Class joins the church and we are getting together some jazz musicians for some very special music.
Because this is such a special Sunday, the Publicity
Committee believes this would be a perfect day to introduce someone to our
church. So we are proclaiming Sunday, May 15th, as BRING A FRIEND SUNDAY!! Do
you know someone looking for a church home who might like to make The Community
Church his or her church home? Do you know someone who might enjoy worship in a
community that is inclusive and open to new ideas, questions, and different
points of view? Then invite that person or persons to join you in worship on
May 15th. We’ll have a special greeting for visitors, information 
about
our church and a special coffee hour afterwards. We’ll even have church members
with “ASK ME” buttons who will be available to answer questions and provide
further information about our church.
Plan to join us on May 15th, Pentecost, and yes, BRING A FRIEND…OR TWO!! And remember to WEAR RED!
