Neighbors In Need
Special Offering

Each year United Church of Christ congregations throughout the United States participate in the Neighbors In Need (NIN) offering.  NIN monies are distributed to a wide array of congregations and nonprofit organizations in the United States and Puerto Rico to further our Christian commitment to justice and compassion.  One-third of the offering is used to support UCC American Indian congregations in the United States. This year’s offering has been designated to support programs which include advocacy on behalf of family farms, and aid for organizations on the US-Mexican border that are working for more humane and just conditions for those who walk “the migrant trail”.

The theme for this year’s Neighbors in Need offering, which we will receive in The Community Church on Sunday, November 27th, is “Imagine: Another World Is Possible.”  As disciples of Christ let us dare to imagine a world where every child of God is valued, loved and nurtured in equal measure.  NIN provides a way for us to journey in support of those who are underprivileged, oppressed, or marginalized.  Please give generously.
