On September 20th, the Adult Ed Committee will present a program on depression, featuring Brian Wetzel and his one-man show “Side By Side” at 7:30 PM in the sanctuary. Following the presentation audience members will have the opportunity to break into small groups for continued discussion on the topic of depression.

Brian Wetzel's one-man show Side By Side: A Journey With Depression, directed by Lizann Bassham will be presented in the sanctuary of The Community Church of Sebastopol on September 20. Side By Side is a funny look at serious survival. Brian is an experienced comedian who also has twenty years of experience with clinical depression. Bringing his sense of humor and experiences together, Brian takes his audience on a unique journey of laughter, painful truth, and finally, hope. By walking side by side with the affliction, he finds a way to keep surviving, keep learning, and keep living.
Brian's show candidly transports you to the intimate recesses of his mind amid his turbulent struggles with clinical depression. He will bring you laughter, grief, compassion and hope while touching the depths of your very soul. Due to strong language and mature themes, this show is not appropriate for children or young teens.
