MAY 13 Save the date!
May 13 is the date for The Human Race, the largest nonprofit fundraiser in the community. Be a part of this festive event and at the same time support The Children’s Village of Sonoma County. On April 30 and May 7 tables will be set up in the quad outside the sanctuary doors where the walkers/runners will be collecting pledges. Please support this wonderful project in any way you can.
The Children’s Village of Sonoma County is an innovative model of foster care being built now in Santa Rosa. The dream of creating a village where siblings in foster care can grow up together is coming to fruition with the first four village homes opening in June 2006.
As
Lia Rowley, founder and Executive Director has written, “The Children’s Village
will give children a place to call ‘home’ as they age through the foster care
system. It is a model program that must be a part of California’s foster care
solution.”
