Hanging of the Greens and Pizza!

   Bring your family on December 10 after church to help decorate the church for Christmas and enjoy pizza!  Everyone can help and if you have some greens from your yard, bring those too!

 

Jr. High PF (Grades 6, 7 & 8)

December 3   4:30-6:00 PM    Sushi Event! 

Margarette Murakami will join us to make special sushi.  It will be lots of fun and delicious! 

 

December 10   12:00 - 3:30   

 Helping out at the Family Support Center Clothing Boutique.  We will gather at the church at noon (please eat before you leave) and travel to Santa Rosa to sort clothes for the Center’s clothing boutique.  Please dress comfortably and wear tennis shoes.  We will return to the church at 3:30.

 

December 17   4:30-6:00 PM

Christmas Party Celebration & Gift Exchange!

Please bring a wrapped, $5.00-or-less gift to share with the group.  We will have a fun party and exchange presents.

 

December 24 & 31   No meetings!  Enjoy your Christmas Vacation and Happy New Year!

 

Coming in January:  The Midwinter Junior High Retreat, for Youth grades 6-8 is January 13-15, 2007.  The retreat is an all UCC conference event and is held at the Mt. Herman Christian Conference center near Santa Cruz.  This is a great time to renew old friendships from Camp Caz and Camp Tam and also to meet new people.  If you have never been to camp and always wondered what it would be like, this is a good two-day event to try out!  Call Kristen or Kathy Bell if you have any questions!  We will be taking a van load of kids – plan to join the fun!

Mandatory Youth & Parent Meeting!

Mandatory Parents & Youth Mission Trip & Pasta Dinner Meeting:  6:30-7:30.  We will gather to discuss our mission trip to Boston and all the details we have thus far.  We will also discuss plans for the Pasta Dinner & Auction scheduled for February 24, 2007.

1st deposit for the Mission Trip is due:  $100.00.  This deposit is 100% refundable but we need to reserve the plane tickets so you need to let us know if you are interested in going.

 

First time mission trip participants and parents meeting:  We will meet at 6:00pm on Dec. 3 for a ½ hour meeting to talk about what the mission trip is about and why we participate.  Parents and youth will then stay to hear the rest of the information at the 6:30 meeting. 

December 8 & 9   Sr. High Retreat & Scavenger Hunt

Meet at 6:00pm in the Sanctuary.  We will have dinner and then embark on a great scavenger hunt to gather supplies for the Family Support Center - a Homeless Shelter for families, serving Sonoma County.  Once we return, we will play games, watch movies and eat junk food!  The overnight ends at 8:00 am Saturday morning.  Please RSVP to Kristen DelMonte at 823-2484 ext. 14 or Kristenanderson12@yahoo.com

We will travel to the mall to shop for our Family presents.  Please bring $5.00 to donate toward the gifts. We will meet at 6:00 and return to the church at 8:30 (again, note the time change for this meeting).

 

December 19      8 AM – 1 PM

We will work at Family Support Center’s Homeless shelter.  Please let Kristen DelMonte know if you will be able to help.  More info to follow.
