The Elusive One
The Gospel of Mark has barely begun, but already Jesus is on the move,
quickly moving from one place to another. Try as we might, we cannot pin him
down, cannot make him respond to our agenda, cannot make him be who we would
like him to be.

Angry with Evil
Jesus is confronted with a
leper and he gets angry. We don’t often see Jesus angry, but in this text we
do. Then Jesus heals the man. He gets angry with evil and then does something
about it. Could there be a lesson here for us?

The Transfiguration of Jesus
Seeing the Light
Anyone been to Phoenix
lately? Houses are climbing higher and higher into the hills. People always
seem to want a better view. Two of the disciples climb a mountain with Jesus.
And from the mountaintop they have a view of something we all still struggle to
understand.
Mark 9: 2-9
Rev. Nelson
