Update
May was not as strong a month financially for the church. Our pledge income slipped below projections for the first five months of the year, plate income was light and income from use of facilities also lagged. What all this means is that operating income was about $5500 below expenses, meaning we had a month-end operating deficit of $2890. Certainly that is not a huge figure, but we never like to begin the summer months with a deficit. The challenge will be to maintain our financial support of the church in the months ahead.
