All Church Art Show A Success!
An enthusiastic crowd enjoyed the All-Church Art Show on May 21st featuring paintings in various media, photographs, wall hangings, table runners and weavings by our multi-talented congregation. Voting for favorites was another feature of the show and tied for first place were Robert Best and Denny Adams. Robert’s painting was of a young man in a wheelchair, with wings expressing his feelings of newly acquired mobility. This painting has also been awarded a state prize and has been reproduced in poster format and distributed all over California. Denny’s pictures were beautiful and amazingly life-like portraits in graphite, including a self-portrait and a portrait of his cousin and church member, Meg Brown.
Second place winners included Brenda Ross Mackey Medcalf, Nancy Wilkins and Ernie Erler.
Thanks to all who participated in this fun event with special kudos to Ernie Erler and our custodian Ernest for transporting the heavy display panels.
