Update
As we move into the final two months of the church year, it is encouraging to report that September was a strong month for our church financially. Operating income for the month exceeded expenses by $3400, leaving us with month-end operating deficit of $2900. While deficits are never good, still that was not a bad figure with which to emerge from the summer. But it is still a deficit and the final two months of the year will be crucial for the financial condition of our church. Pledge income after nine months was almost $12,000 below projections, so we have some work to do there. Plate income is also below projections, but hopefully November and December will help us here. However, overpaid pledges, which is money people have given over and above their pledge, is over $2000 in excess of our projections, so thank you to all you who have chosen to go an extra mile in financial support. Also, we finished September with operating expenses actually $15,000 below projections, so that has also helped.
