Stewardship & Consecration Sunday
The week of November 12th you will receive a pledge card in the mail. We ask that you fill it out and bring it with you to our THANKSGIVING AND CONSECRATION Sunday worship, November 19th. At that service, pledge cards and offerings will be brought forward and consecrated, as we return thanks to God for all God’s many blessings. The celebration will continue following worship as our junior high youth serve pumpkin pie in the courtyard. Watch for other surprises. Please plan to join us for the significant time of worship, dedication and consecration in the life of our church.
Stewardship Note
“Deep crimson, fiery yellow, passion orange. Fall leaves flutter to the ground, each landing in a place at the whim of forces natural. God’s building blanket of cover and protection. But, oh here comes that cool October breeze disrupting the tranquility of the moment.”
I ponder this metaphor of pieces falling into place and
our little church on the north side of town. I see now as a time when all the
pieces have fallen into their rightful place. It is exciting to see our
beautiful grounds, see new faces at our Sunday service and church office, and
read about all the activities in our newsletter. We have so many reasons to be
grateful. It is with this in mind that I bring up the upcoming stewardship
campaign and the fact that without your financial support for our congregation
our warm, soft blanket of comfort will be at the mercy of a cold winter storm.
Please reflect on your own contributions to our church and look for more information on how you can during the month of November.
