Another BIG Success!
On behalf of the Women’s Fellowship, we, the Tea Committee, wish to express our appreciation to all who helped make the August 5 Annual Tea a huge success.
Our theme this year was “Parade of Hats!” There were over 220 people in attendance, and we had quite a parade of hats! Special thanks to the 22 hostess for their colorful table decorations and all their efforts required to bring about such a beautifully festive affair.
Thank you for the many hours spent in preparing the sandwiches, cookies and other treats served at each table. And thank you to the kitchen staff for keeping the sandwich and cookie trays full, the water pitcher filled and the tea and coffee pots hot and ready to serve!
During the entire year, the ladies held workshops to design and make stationery, tea towels and other crafts that were sold at this event. We were also blessed to have a number of donated items for door prizes as well as extra items to sell. The sales of these items and our crafts provide funds for the many outreach programs we help support.
Our musical program was the ever-popular ‘Men In Black’ who entertained us with songs and a sing-along; and Darryl Fenley, who provided a lovely assortment of music throughout the entire event.
It took many hands to prepare and accomplish such a large event – too many to name! A big thank you to all who were involved and a special thank you to the Jr. High Youth for a terrific job helping out.
We would not be able to accomplish this tea without the support of all of you – so again, you have our special thanks and God Bless.
