2007 UCC Bicycle Adventure

Here at the Community Church of Sebastopol we will host the group for the first night and serve breakfast before worship on August 5. If you would like to join the group for breakfast, please contact Kristen DelMonte at 823-2484 ext 14. You are also invited to ride along with the group as they make their way to Cloverdale – bike for as long as you would like for that day for no charge! The 2007 adventure will leave from the Community Church of Sebastopol after services on Sunday, August 5th and head up to Cloverdale for the first overnight and then wind its way through the wine country before crossing the Golden Gate Bridge and ending up in Palo Alto on Saturday, August 11th. Daily mileage will be about 40 to 45 miles on most days, leaving us plenty of time to explore the sights along the way and relax at our destinations.
While faith, fellowship and fun are the primary goals of the trip, outreach is also an important component. Each rider will be encouraged to do some fund-raising for Our Church’s Wider Mission (OCWM). OCWM supports the entire United Church of Christ, providing staff at the conference and national levels, ministries to local churches, missions in other countries, retiree support, and active justice ministries. Any money we raise will help OCWM to better serve the entire UCC.
