The Children’s Village
Thanks to all of its supporters The Children’s Village of Sonoma County (TCV) is making great progress in its promise to build an innovative model of foster care where siblings can grow up together in a caring, supportive environment.
Eleven children are home with five more to move in mid-March. The children are attending school and participating in a variety of sports, arts, music and other activities. Three “Village Grandparents” also live at the Village, The Village Center, which will house a library, computer lab, community room, and administrative offices, is due to open in this summer.
Human Race May 12
Help
is still needed! TCV is blessed to have so many caring supporters in the
Community Church. Once again, TCV hopes an enthusiastic group of walkers/runners
from the Community Church will take part in the festive Human Race on
Saturday May 12, 2007. Previous participants will be receiving a letter
from TCV with pledge sheets and information. If you haven’t participated before
or even if you can’t join the walkers/runners that day but still wish to support
The Children’s Village, ask for a pledge sheet and find sponsors.
Bob Best is also collecting sponsors for the Human Race - Bob will be walking for Middle Way.
