Special Presentation November 11
Peace & Justice will host a presentation by the Graton Day Labor Center on November 11 immediately following worship in the Fireside Room. The Graton Day Labor Center is a non-profit, community based, worker–led day labor center working to promote opportunities for employment, health and education amongst day laborers in Graton, California.
Graton’s day labor center
emphasizes employment, worker empowerment, leadership development and community
participation with programs in health access and education, legal referrals,
women’s issues, wage claims, job training and occupational health and safety.
You are invited to come learn more about the Labor Center on November 11 and find out how everyone can benefit from hiring the men and women through the Labor Center. Following the presentation those who wish can meet in Graton for a special tour of the new center.
