Stewardship, Pledge Cards and Consecration Sunday
November is stewardship month in the life of The Community Church. This is the month when each of us is asked to consider how we can best support the church with our time, our talent, and, yes, our financial resources. The week of November 4th, each of you will receive a pledge card in the mail. Hopefully, you will see filling out that pledge card with your financial commitment to the church, not as some grim duty, but as an opportunity to give back something of yourself in thanksgiving for all of God’s many blessings.
You are then invited to bring your completed pledge card with you to worship on Sunday, November 18th – CONSECRATION AND THANKSGIVING SUNDAY! On that festive day, pledge cards will be dedicated, there will be special music from our Chancel and Brass Choirs, and there will be music and pumpkin pie in the courtyard following worship as we celebrate together our participation in and support of our church. Mark that date now and plan to be in worship that day.
