Women’s Retreat – Earth Day Clothing Exchange
April 20 in Fellowship Hall
Join us for a Clothing Exchange/Donation April 20 in Fellowshop Hall from 12:00 - 2:00pm. Create room in your closet and meet new people as you recycle clothes in celebration of Earth Week. Bring clothes in wearable condition to Fellowship Hall on Saturday April 19 from 2:00-4:00pm for the clothing recycle event on Sunday April 20. All ages and sizes welcome. Exchange clothes for other clothes or leave a donation. Leftover items will be donated to a local non-profit. The money received will be donated to the Church Building Fund. Cloth Bags Give-Away
Paper or plastic is no longer the pertinent question.
Reusing shopping bags significantly reduces both carbon emissions and waste.
Did you know that more than one billion single use plastic bags are handed to
consumers each day? Think about it!!
Make it a habit to bring your own reusable bags when shopping. To support you in this effort, members of the Peach & Justice Committee have made 50 cloth bags from recycled fabric purchased from the Legacy for $1/pound. We will be giving these bags away in conjunction with worship on April 20. We will also have the pattern available so you can make your own bag!
Remember… the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Let’s all take that step!
