Lenten Soup Suppers & Faith Journeys
The Adult Education Committee is again hosting the Lenten Soup Supper and Faith Journey each Tuesday during the Lenten season. The Soup Suppers will be February 12, 19, 26 and March 4 and 11 at 6:15 PM in Fellowship Hall with the program at 7 pm in the Fireside Room. Please check the Sunday bulletin for a list of presenters.
One of the interesting highlights of sharing is the people who share their story, frequently find their lives enriched by the act of sharing experiences meaningful to themselves in aspects of their journey to faithfulness in the life of the emerging Christian. Please join us for this wonderful experience of community.
Lenten Book Study Sunday Mornings at 9:15 AM
Beginning on Sunday, February 10, and continuing every Sunday of Lent, Rev. Nelson will be leading a study of Marcus Borg’s and Dominic Crossan’s book, The Last Week: Jesus’ Final Days in Jerusalem. Using the Gospel of Mark, they offer their own analysis of Jesus’ final, climatic week in Jerusalem. The book comes with a study guide and will be available in the church office for $12. The class will meet at 9:15 in the Fireside Room, again each Sunday of Lent.
The Adult Education Committee has been working towards cataloguing the church library – a big job and a process that Linda McBride has been helping with. The books need to be removed from the shelves, scanned and then re-shelved in the correct location.
