Support Group for Caregivers Forming at Church
The First Meeting is May 12
Over the last few years, a number of people in our church have found themselves in the position of caregiver – often for an elderly parent in failing health, but also for a spouse or child with health and/or mental challenges.
And so, a new support group for caregivers is being formed at The Community Church. The facilitator will be Stu Buman, husband of church member, Vicki Mayster. Stu is a Medical Social Worker with extensive training is issues of aging and the comfort and care of the aging and their families, and long time experience in leading and facilitating this kind of group.
The first meeting will be on Monday, May 12, at 7:00 PM in the Fireside Room. The plan is to meet twice a month, on the 2nd and 4th Mondays. Please call the church office if you are interested or have questions, or just come to our first meeting on May 12th.
