Death
Novella Robert, a long-time church member and Sebastopol resident died on January 19 after a long a courageous battle with cancer. Novella was always very active at the Community Church from teaching Sunday School to Women’s Fellowship as well as her involvement with Autumn Leaves and PEO. A memorial service is planned for Sunday, February 8 at 1:30 PM at the Community Church with a reception to follow in Memorial Hall. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Robert family as they mourn the loss of this wonderful woman.
Congratulations
At an Ecclesiastical Council, hosted by our church on January 24th, both Kristen DelMonte and Jean Boal were unanimously approved for ordination by the delegates in attendance. They were both approved “pending call.” We congratulate and rejoice with them. For Kristen, the phrase, “pending call,” did not apply long because at the Annual Meeting on January 25, 2009, Kristen DelMonte was unanimously called to the Community Church of Sebastopol to serve as Associate Pastor. Ordination will take place at 3 PM on February 22, also at the Community Church, and everyone is invited to share in this joyous celebration. Congratulations
