Our Jr. High Youth will hold soup bowls at church doors on Souper Bowl Sunday, February 1, 2009. They will join young people in churches across the nation to collect money for those who are hungry and hurting – funds collected at the Community Church will be sent directly to our local Catholic Worker to help local families in need. In the past 20 years over $50 million has been collected on Souper Bowl Sunday with all of the money collected donated to a local charity selected by the participant.
