Annual Meeting

You won’t want to miss this one!  First, there will once again be great food as we enjoy the great BBQ from Roger Collins as well as the wonderful vegetarian pasta courtesy of Gary Tognozzi. And the business meeting will be all about our future here at 1000 Gravenstein Hwy. North.  We will discuss and pass a church budget, a budget that will set our priorities for the year ahead.  We will receive the report of the nominating committee and vote on those who will lead and serve in the coming year.  But that will only be the beginning.

The congregation will be presented with a motion to call Kristen DelMonte as our associate minister.  By the end of January, she should be even closer to finishing the process leading to ordination, needing only final approval from the Golden Gate Association, UCC.  Kristen can then be ordained and installed as an “official” minister.  Thus we need to issue an official call, which will require a congregational vote at our January 25th Annual Meeting.

Also on the 25th, we will also be presented with a design and early cost estimates for a new building to replace Pilgrim House. A Building Design committee, chaired by Dan Rasmus, has been working with our architectural firm – O’Malley, Wilson, and Westfall – and an initial design will be ready for congregational review for the Annual Meeting.

Not a meeting you will want to miss as together we take a hard look at our future.
