Deaths
A Memorial Service for Robert Matheny was held at the Community Church on June 12 officiated by Rev. Nelson. Bob was the father of Rhonda Matheny and brother-in-law to Loretta Tough, both members of our church. Our thoughts and prayers are with Rhonda and the Matheny family.
Kathy Mayhew’s mother passed away on June 4. A private service will be held at a later date. Our condolences to Kathy and her family.
Marcelle Haggard, the mother of Chris Castillo died suddenly on June 13. Marcelle had recently relocated to this area to be near her daughter and had become very involved with Women’s Fellowship here at the Community Church. The family will hold a celebration of her life on July 11 at their home in Sebastopol.
Wedding
Cathy (CJ) Hudlow and Craig Allender were married by Rev. Nelson at the CYO camp in Occidental on June 13. Many of our extended church family were in attendance and it was great to see so many gathered for such a festive occasion. Mother of the bride is our own Carole Hudlow. Blessings and congratulations to the bride and groom!
Ordination
Congratulations to Jean Boal on her Ordination that was celebrated here at the Community Church on June 7. Jean begins her ministry at the UCC church in Weaverville on July 5th. Blessings!
