Pilgrim House Update

The deconstruction work of Pilgrim House could start as early as the last week of June.  Testing on the structure showed no evidence of asbestos or lead, and following the permit process, work on the site will begin.  Habitat for Humanity has been invited to bring a team in to take what ever items they may be able to use for future projects or to include at their ReStore in Santa Rosa, but due to their safety and insurance issues, they cannot allow individuals into the work area.  Pilgrim House and the surrounding area will be fenced off and heavy equipment will be in place.  The parking area on the south part of our campus will be blocked off while the work is in progress, estimated to take about two weeks.

Pieces of redwood used in Pilgrim House will try to be salvaged to create a cross, table or other freestanding item to be used in the new chapel.

Lifelike color renditions of the new structure and the surrounding area are in the church entry.  Stop by and take a look!
