Women’s Summer Retreat
at the Marconi Conference Center
July 17-19, 2009
Please mark your calendar for the Summer Women's Retreat, July 17-19, at the Marconi Conference Center. The Marconi Center is located in the small town of Marshall in Marin County, along beautiful Hwy 1, less than 45 minutes from Sebastopol. The Marconi Conference Center is also a California State Historic Park. It offers comfortable meeting rooms, delicious food, hotel-like room accommodations, hiking and beautiful views of the bay. Check your mail for registration and more information, or stop in the church office to pick up a registration form.
Rachel Knuth is a member of the
Community Church of Sebastopol and In-Care for Ordination with the UCC
Conference and will lead us in exploring different aspects of Spirituality and
Sexuality through song, meditation, bible study, and discussion. Rachel holds a
Master in Divinity degree from the Union Theological Seminary in New York, and a
B.A. from Agnes Scott College in Atlanta. She enjoys
learning from her three young children, ages 5, 3, and 1
The retreat will begin late afternoon on Friday, July 17th and conclude after worship early Sunday afternoon. The weekend will also offer a chance to rest, play, do crafts, laugh and enjoy each other’s company. ALL women associated with the church and their friends and family are welcome to attend. If you can only attend a portion of the retreat, you are still welcome to come and share in the community of women.
