Sonoma County Pride 2009

Equality on Main Street

This year's week of Sonoma County Pride events kicks off with a Parade along Main Street in downtown Guerneville on Sunday, May 31st starting at High Noon, through downtown Guerneville.  The Parade will be followed by a celebration on the grounds of Dawn Ranch Lodge in Guerneville, with music, dancing, food, wine, beer, and a children's area set aside for families and kids!

Sonoma County Pride is a week long celebration of the joy and diversity of our community for Sonoma County’s LGBTQ Community, Friends and Family.  The Main Events of the week include the Parade, the Celebration, and an Interfaith Service the following Sunday, June 7, at 7 PM at the Center For Spiritual Living at 2075 Occidental Road in Santa Rosa. There are additional partner events planned throughout the week, including the 15th annual Sonoma County Pride Comedy Night at the Wells Fargo Center for the Arts, and Disco Down the River Weekend, a fund raising event for Under One Roof, supporting AIDS/HIV service agencies throughout the Bay Area, including Face to Face, Food for Thought and the Sonoma County AIDS Emergency Fund.

Please join us to celebrate our wonderful corner of California and the wide diversity of people who make up the LGBTQ community in Sonoma County!  The Community Church of Sebastopol will have a table display with information about the UCC and the Community Church – if you would like to help for part of the afternoon, please contact Darryl Fenley.
