“FUN”draiser for Women’s Retreat
Calling all Church Members and Friends: Invite your family, invite your friends and mark your calendars for an exciting new destination! The Women’s Retreat Committee will host a bus trip to the new Academy of Sciences complex in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. After several years in the building, this wonderful new facility re-opened September 2008.

Academy of Sciences, the only place on the planet where you can explore an
aquarium, planetarium, and natural history
museum under one living roof. Or
step inside a living 4-story rainforest, where dripping water sets the beat for
a symphony of croaking frogs and chirping birds.
Date: Wednesday, March 11, 2009. It will be a full day trip, leaving and returning from Community Church. Time is approximately 8:30 – 5:00. I will confirm this as we get closer to the date. Children are welcome.
Cost: $60 for those 18-64 years; $55 for 12 to 17 years and “kids” over 65. Call me for pricing on younger children. Checks can be made out to Community Church with “WR Bus Trip” in the memo line.
Deadline: for reservations is February 19th. Payment confirms your reservation. Since I must confirm our numbers with the Academy early, anyone signing up after this deadline will be charged an additional $5.00.
Sign-Up: And payment may be made in the church office.
Food: Snacks will be provided on the bus during our travel. Lunch will be “on your own”. There is a café and a restaurant at the Academy. Alternately, you may bring your own bag lunch (there are tables and chairs both inside and out for eating).
