« Thank you to our summer musicians for sharing your musical talents with us: Steve Beck, Keith Blackstone, the Handbell Choir, Barbara Wilson & the Women in White, Brian Plaugher & the Jazz Ensemble, Hosanna and Vince & the Apple Blossom Special, Craig Nesler, Muriel Weaver, Marjorie Crump Shears, Andy DelMonte, Denelle Tognozzi, Morris Acevedo, Darryl Fenley and all our contributing musicians for making our summer music such a delight. « Thanks to our leaders and their assistants for helping to make the Summer Interest Centers such a big hit – Noelle Rudolph, Lewis Britton, Steve Bradley, Dan Rasmus, Chris Jenkins, Jamie Lerum, Kathy Matthies, Jan Kahdeman, the Junge Family – Chris, Liz, Nathan, Andy & Colin, Elyse Mengle, Kathy Bell, Rachel Knuth, Melissa Ferland, Nicole Ferland and Joe Plaugher. « Thank you to our youth and parents who volunteered to help with our MADD Camp in June – 28 youngsters enjoyed the week-long day camp filled with fun and learning. « Thanks to our Church Picnic helpers Antonio Trevino, Brian Plaugher, Noelle Rudolph, Ernie Erler, Steve Beck, Joanne Feige, Chris Jenkins and Frank Jilka & the Community Band for the fantastic music and of course a big thank you to Guy & Michelle Smith for inviting us to your wonderful property at Georgetown. « Thank you to Ernie Erler, Jerry Warren, Edythe Briggs, Ginny Griffen, Wynneth Longfellow, Bobbie Johanson, Paula Pierce, Brenda Medcalf, Philip Wilson and Nancy Lee for the artwork used on our summer bulletins – what a special treat for each Sunday! « Women’s Fellowship would like to thank everyone who participated in the Christmas in July gift drive and special thanks to Charlotte Asher for providing the Christmas tree from her Christmas tree farm. « Thank you to Bob Holland for going the extra mile (actually, 100 miles!) and his supporters for raising $900 to help our local UCC Conference. « Thank you to Mark Felton and Tom Larssen for coming to the rescue to fix a broken pipe in our drip watering system. « Thank you! «
Dear Church Family
A year ago, the church, in honor of my 30th anniversary in Sebastopol, gave me a gift certificate for the Master Fly Fishing Class at Clearwater Lodge in northeast California. I attended the class in July from the 8th to the 12th accompanied by a couple of friends. I had never done anything like it, never dreamed I would able to do anything like it. I’m not sure I will ever be a “master” fly fisherman, but it was an absolutely wonderful experience. I thank each of you from the bottom of my heart. It was a wonderful gift and deeply appreciated. Whenever I think of my time at Clearwater, it will be with feelings of humble gratefulness. Gene
