Parish Care

Participating in our Parish Care group offers each of us a way to give a gift to our church community by helping those in need of a helping hand.  It also provides a resource for those within our church family.  Volunteers are comprised of members and friends of the Community Church of Sebastopol, UCC.

Suggested organization: Two coordinators for each topic –

1. Visiting    2. Transportation    3. Food    4. Miscellaneous

There will be one formal meeting a year for volunteer sign-ups with additional sign-ups through our church bulletin.  You will be called upon to occasionally provide a service in the area of your interest, to someone near the location of your home.

This will not be a time consuming commitment and there are

no meetings to attend!

Process:  When a call for assistance comes into the church office, that call would be directed to the Topic Coordinator.  The Coordinator would check our Parish Care Volunteer Bank and contact volunteers in the area to arrange a helping hand as needed.  The Topic Coordinator would be in touch with the individual or family to get details and make the arrangements for the service needed.

The main emphasis of Parish Care services are: Visiting, Transportation, Food and Miscellaneous.
