Reading SCHEDULE
The Community Church Book group will not meet in March, in order that all may fully participate in the Tuesday evening Lenten Soup Suppers and Faith Journeys.
Next Meeting on Tuesday, April 13, 2-4 pm and 7-8:30 pm in the Fireside Room
In April we will participate in the annual Sonoma County-wide project, SONOMA COUNTY READS, part of a nation-wide event, THE BIG READ. Sponsored by the National Academy for the Arts, the month-long event is designed to restore reading to the center of American culture. The book chosen for this year is Mark Twain's The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Copies of the books will be available in the church office early in March, at no cost to the readers.
SONOMA COUNTY READS is facilitated by KRCB, our local Public Radio and Television station, in partnership with the Sonoma County Library Foundation, the Arts Council of Sonoma County, Cinnabar Theater and Santa Rosa Junior College. The program includes a wide range of activities and book-related projects throughout the county, including book-group discussions, dramatic readings and multimedia presentations.

Rosemary Manchester, Coordinator for the Book Group, suggests that readers take advantage of the excellent selection of books available in the Church Library in the Fireside Room. You will find a wide variety of books: Fiction, Theology, Bible Study, Self Help, Church History, World Religions and more. Rosemary will post some suggestions in the Library. You may check out the books by filling out a card in the little green box.
