Monday was an exciting day of riding the subway and the bus system. For most of our sites we will be working with the same organizations and Monday we met all the different organizations and got started working! A group went to Community Servings and prepared meals at the dining hall. Another group went to a children's clothing exchange and emptied trucks of boxes of children's clothes. A third group went to Tremont Temple Baptist Church and did odd jobs for this once 2000 member church in the heart of Boston. We began with washing all the windows and ended with a trip up behind the organ pipes (Joyce Morrow would have loved it!) There was a straight string piano that Jean Boal played --Jesus Christ Has Risen Today and Let Us Break Bread Together on our Knees. Jean said it was her Easter service since she was traveling to see us on Sunday.
